is a collective effort which mission is
to undertake innovative and ground-braking research in the field of cortical
interneuron development.
INTERDEVO consortium brings together leading investigators from across
Europe to investigate different aspects of the development of cortical
interneurons and to develop animal models of cortical interneuron deficiency,
which could be used to evaluate different therapeutic approaches.
INTERDEVO involves seven academic institutes and one Small and
Medium-Sized Enterprise (SME) from across five European countries. The
researchers have expertise in mouse genetics, cell biology, cutting-edge
imaging, developmental biology, in vivo disease models and cell
transplantation.
INTERDEVO is supported through Priority 1 (Life Sciences, Genomics and
Biotechnology for Health) of European Union´s FP6 Contract numbre:
LSHM-CT-2004-005139. The EU is providing 2 million support to INTERDEVO during
its three year duration.
